I realize I haven't blogged in a while and there's a reason for it: I've gotten a NEW blog! Check it out at: http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=ceruleanblu.

I'll probably be blogging at my Xanga site more often than here. I like it better because I can upload pictures directly from my compter!

Okay. One more final to go. Psych tomorrow. Shouldn't be too bad.

But now, for the most exciting news of the day......LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING!!!!!!!!!!

That was quite possibly the coolest movie I've ever seen.

Seriously.

I met Courtney and Lyndsey for lunch at Wendy's and then we met up with Becca and Steph at Regal (I still like to call it Hoyt's, but oh, well) for a 3:00 showing of Lord of the Rings. Ohmigosh, Jenn and Michelle! We were watching it at about the same time! Coolness! We may not have gotten to see the movie sitting next to each other, but we all watched it together in spirit. Hehe.

Definitely worth the six bucks and the 3 hours and 11 minutes of my time. Words cannot describe how cool that movie was....it was beyond awesome. And yes, Courtney, there was definitely some Frodo-Sam sexual tension in there, especially at the end. Haha...LOL...Courtney had her hobbit-foursome at the end there, too! When they were all jumping on the bed! Courtney and Steph burst out laughing and somehow I knew exactly what they were laughing at, because I was thinking the same thing....Dirty minds....poor Tolkien was probably rolling around in his grave...Sorry, J.R.R.

***WARNING*** This blog contains major spoilers. Do NOT proceed in reading this message if you haven't seen Lord of the Rings: Return of the King yet.

The action sequences were incredible. Two of my favorite action/fight sequences were:

1) Legolas (my man! I heart Orlando "Orli" Bloom...That long blond hair...piercing blue eyes....those pointed ears...oh, yeah...) jumped up on that elephant/wooly mammoth-ish creature and shot everyone on top with arrows, then killed the creature, then slid (or surfed) down its trunk as it fell to the ground. Didn't think he could top the whole shield-surfing down the stairs from Two Towers.

2) In a definite girl-power moment (and perhaps my favorite scene), the Witchking tells Eowyn that no man can kill him. She takes off her helmet and is all like, "I am no man!" and she stabs him in the "face" (does he have a face?...) and he dies. I was like, "You go, girlfriend!" I think one of the guys behind us in the theater yelled that out.

There are so many cool parts to mention, but I don't have enough time or space to do so. Just do me a favor: If you haven't seen the movie, go see it! If you have - go see it again!

I like Faramir. I wish they would have him in more. But then again, I guess he really isn't a major part of the books, either. I absolutely love Sam, too. He's been my favorite hobbit since Fellowship. I knew he was somethin' special! He totally kicked butt and saved Frodo's ass. And at the end when Frodo leaves and Merry, Pippin, and Sam are all crying, I started crying, too! Those damn hobbits! I wanted to hug them all so they'd feel better. Steph was crying the whole way out of the theater.

After the movie was over, I gave the gals their Christmas gifts. I think they liked them. I hope so, because I spent hours working on them! There wre many hugs and we all went on our merry, but separate ways. I wish I would've gotten to talk to Becca and Steph more. We were sitting in a movie theater, so we couldn't really talk a whole lot about what we were all up to.

Well, I'd better go eat dinner now. Then I'll probably study for my Psych final. I wanna go see LOTR again!

Well, I certainly am glad that I worked on organizing my notes, and writing out a nice little outline, and making a list of quotes from Poe, Emerson, and Whitman, all for my American Lit final. And I sure am glad that I rushed to school, practically having a heart attack because 1) I woke up late and 2) Traffic was horrendous and I was stuck behind a construction vehicle for 10 minutes that was travelling approximately 4 miles an hour...

That's only my approximation...

And THEN, with precisely 1 minute until the final was supposed to begin, I grabbed my things, ripped my car's CD player face plate off and tossed it into the back seat pocket (that's right, HACC thugs - you're not stealing my CD player! *Meh!*), I ran across the ice- and snow-covered parking lot, almost slipping and killing myself at least 3 times that I can remember. Oh, how I dashed across the ice! As I finally made it to Blocker Hall, I thrust open the doors - Oh, you would have laughed to see how cunningly I thrust it open! (sorry, couldn't resist a little Poe...), began to sprint up the steps, passed my American Lit prof, ran further up the steps -

Wait!.....hold up!.....

<"...passed my American Lit prof...">

Shouldn't she have been in the room, since the final had already begun? I said hello, but she just kept walking and ran out the doors. I finally made it upstairs into the classroom and everyone was gathering their things. I asked Jennifer and Jonathan what was going on. My prof had a family emergency and came to class with all her materials, ready for the final, but once she was there, she decided she could not proceed and needed to go home. She apparantly started crying and told everyone the final was cancelled and we'd all get A's.

So I drove and hurried and note-took all for nothing!

Urgh! Oh, well. At least now I'll have time to blog. I changed some things on this page. I added my test/quiz results on the side bar. I also moved my Lord of the Rings countdown bar from the bottom of the page to the top of the sidebar, since no one ever noticed it way down on the bottom.

Three more finals to go. I have Education and Statistics on Thursday and Psych on Friday. Those bastards at Kohl's scheduled me to work every weekday next week except for Christmas day. I'm gonna check with Jasmine to see if she'll work my Monday or Tuesday shift. So many hassles...Too little time....

My mom busted the rear-view mirror off the Focus today when she was backing out of the garage. She's gonna have to use my car until hers is fixed. I'm hoping she can get her grocery shopping done early tomorrow, as I'm having lunch with some friends, and then off to see Lord of the Rings: Return of the King!!! Yay! Opening day! I'm so happy! I'll get to see Steph and Becca, whom I haven't seen/talked to for awhile. Courtney and Lynds will be there, too!

Haha...me and Lyndsey worked together on Sunday (when no one in their right mind would venture outside in the snow). There were hardly any customers in Kohl's so we were folding sweaters in the Misses section. I swear, women are so messy when they shop. Sweaters EVERYWHERE!!! Total chaos. But me and Lynds made it look beautiful (just so unappreciative customers could come in and wreck it again on Monday, I'm sure...). We were laughing and talking SO loud. I thought one of the managers was gonna come over and yell at us. Fine by me. Maybe they'll fire me....God, I hope so!

Anyway, I guess I should eat lunch. I'm kinda hungry. Maybe a sandwich. Ooh...a deliteful little turkey and provolone one on a kaiser roll with Italian salad dressing *Drool*

Called off work today. Just plain didn't feel like going in. They had me scheduled for 8 and 1/2 hours. Punks....I know, I'm horrible for calling in and lying. But, man! I should win an Academy Award. I sounded really ill over the phone. Hehe...

Haha! My brother just came inside from golfing and he said a bird crapped on his head! HAHAHAHAHA!!!! How often does that happen? Awwww...poor Nicky-wicky.... Haha!

My mom made pizzelles this morning. Yum! I ate a whole bunch of 'em. Hopefully we'll be making chocolate chip cookies soon. My favorites! I wanna make gingerbread men, too. I like using the icing to decorate them.

I've got finals next week. Grrr...I need to study and cram for them.

Me, Lyndsey, and Courtney are planning on seeing the Lord of the Rings: Return of the King on Wednesday. I need to find out what times they're free so I can pick up tickets. I'm so excited! But I'll be sad, too, because the trilogy will be complete...no more LOTR movies! I'll have to rely on Harry Potter and the last Star Wars movie. Star Wars....when does the next one come out? Hmmmm....I need to check out IMDb.

It's supposed to snow a whole bunch tomorrow. We're supposed to get a foot. I'm excited. But at the same time, I'm pissed off because Kohl's will probably stay open (even though no one comes shopping in the snow) and I'm scheduled to work! And if schools close, I'll have to make up finals Decemeber 22nd! Oh, wait, no I won't. Prof. Ruediger said that if finals were postponed on Monday she'd just cancel ours because she's leaving the country next weekend. Probably to go sing in some opera in Italy or something. She's my new hero. I could listen toher lecture for hours on end. Too bad she doesn't teach any other classes I need to take :(

Oh, well. Gotta go. Pray for snow, everyone!

Got my English paper back today. The one that I spent 2 hours writing, never proofread, and emailed to my prof 2 and 1/2 hours after the deadline....and I got a 100%! She came up to me after class and told me how wonderful my paper was! She only made one mark in the paper - a missed comma! I'm so glad I have her for English 102 next semester. Today was my last day of Tuesday/Thursday classes. No more Statistics!!! WOO-HOO!!!!! I have an 80.8 in that class. I need to do well on the final to manage a B in the class. Fawk! I'm seriously gonna fail it. At least it's open book.

Mmmm....I'm eating iced animal crackers. Yummy!

My mom drove me to and from class today because the roads were flooded from all the rain we got yesterday and today. Cameron Street was closed down by McClay St. And Elmerton Ave. is prone to flooding, too. I visited my Grandma, too. Grandma Kate, that is, my cool Italian/Pennsylvania Dutch grandmother that cooks a lot and forces me to eat and get fat. I have put on a few pounds lately. I need to work out more and eat less. No Atkins for me, though, Lyndsey!

Well, must work on my Theater project. Tomorrow's the last day of classes. Finals are next week, and then I don't have to go to school until January 14, 2004. Well, I will be up waiting in long lines on Jan. 5th to get textbooks, but that's too scary to think about now. That reminds me....I need to sell some of my textbooks back to the bookstore. I think I can do that next week. After finals some day I'll bee-bop over to Overholt and get rid of my books. Some of them were really expensive! I'm gonna sell Statistics (duh! no need for that book EVER!), Psych, and Theater. I'll keep my English anthology so I can treasure it forever (plus I bought it used, so I'd probably only get about $15 for it). I'm keeping my Education book, too. THat has a lot of great info in it about the teaching profession.

Well, gotta go do homework.

P.S. I need to make a correction to yesterday's blog entry. My brother has informed me that his look is not "ghetto-fabulous," but in fact "hooked up." He claims to have invented the hook up. Right...and Al Gore invented the internet...

Yay, only two more days of class left! Woo-hoo. Can't quit now - gotta keep going. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming...

Okay, sorry. Couldn't resist a Dory quote. I watched Finding Nemo again and I have to say that I honestly enjoyed the movie more the 2nd time. The 1st time, I found it too..."deep" and philosophical. But watching it again, I just focused on the cute/funny parts. Dory is my all-time fave character. She's so funny. Ooh! Ooh! I almost forgot - I took a Finding Nemo quiz and here's who I am:

You are DORY!
What Finding Nemo Character are You?

brought to you by Quizilla

Alright, enough about FN and Dory. Let's see...what did I do today? I finally returned all my library books. I took 4 back to Dauphin County Library and 3 to the HACC Library. I walked over to drop them off a t McCormick and then walked back to the Arts building for Theater. We finished watching Pippin. I love musicals. Hot guy with blond curly hair singing and dancing....*drool* Gotta love curly hair on guys. And guys that dig musicals (as long as they're not gay....well, not that I dislike gay people, b/c I have nothing against them, I just happen to be straight, personally. Okay, I've complicated things now...).

This morning, I tried parking in this narrow parking space and I thought that I hit the one car, but really I just hit a snow bank. God, I was ready to pass out. I was so freaked. The last thing I need is to destroy my car.

I went to Kohl's yesterday. Got some Christmas shopping done. I put some stuff on my charge card for my mom so she'd get my employee discount. My brother's getting a lovely matching Nike sweatsuit (yeah, Nick! Ghetto-fabulous! Okay, inside joke...). I was gonna get my mom a new hand mixer, but she didn't like them because they were too heavy. So I got her a cookie press instead. Then I found these pink velour pants, so I told my mom to wrap them up and give them to me for Christmas. Yeah, my mom and I do that every year. We'll go out shopping and see something we like, just buy it, and give it to one another to wrap up and then act surprised as we open it. Hehe.

I got this eyeshadow kit that has just about every color you could imagine. It was like, $6.25. Plus I'll get 25% off. What else did I buy? Oh, yeah! I got mittens! They're really cool! They're knit blue ones with snowflakes on them. Very cute. I should've bought a scarf and a hat to go with them. I do work tonight....Hmmmm.....

I went to the dentist at 3:00. My mom drove me because I didn't know how to get there! The traffic was horrendous and she was freaking out because she thought we were gonna be late. No cavities! Yay! I got a new toothbrush, so I'm quite pleased.

Gotta go eat dinner. I work from 5:30 to 9:00. They gave me a short shift since I had a dentist appointment. Then I can come home and watch Ryan and Trista's wedding. Looking forward to that!

I've got homework, but I don't feel like doing it right now. I work on it later....maybe....too many projects....and finals are next week! Arghh. Too much stress!

Kindercare still hasn't called me for an interview. I think they have to run background checks and get child abuse clearances first before they can discuss hiring me. Darn. Hurry up so I can quit Kohl's!!!

Speaking of Kohl's...tomorrow's Employee Shop Day! Yay! 25% to 30% off everything! Let's just say there will be a lot charged tomorrow. I'm gonna get my mom a hand mixer cuz her old one is, like, 20 years old! It's seen better days, so I found this one at Kohl's that has different attachments, like one of those drink mixer thingies! I think she'll like it. But that's not a vey good gift for Christmas, I guess. I mean, the woman brought me into the world and does everything for me, and for Christmas I get her some appliance, almost as if to say, "Get back in the kitchen and make me some food, woman!" I'm gonna get her something else, hopefully.

I need some more sweatpants/yoga pants for my yoga class next semester. Maybe pink. I used to not really like pink, but it's grown on me. Am I a pink kind of person? I dunno...Jenn? Michelle? What do you guys think?

I did some snooping and found out a couple of my Christmas presents, so I know what not to buy at Kohl's tomorrow. I know, I'm so evil. Searching for X-mas presents....really...how old am I?

I'm looking forward to the end of the semester. I'll really miss some of the people I've met in my classes that I've enjoyed hanging out with and talking to. Maybe I'll see them again. I'm hoping to exchange email addresses with at least Jennifer and Dan. Lisa, too. I'll miss my theater class, too. Prof. Ruediger is the coolest person I've ever met. I swear, I could listen to her lecture all day long. I wish I needed to take another class that she teaches. I really like theater. That's the bad thing, because now I'm leaning towards transferring to Penn State HBG, but they don't have any student theater organizations or even theater classes! I could try to start a theater group....hey, Lyndsey?.....wanna start a club?...

Oh, well. I guess I'd better start my homework, seeing as they're both graded assignments. 4 more days of class....and it's all over....
